Dwaine Pretorius who was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the mega auction has started the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2022 well. The pacer is in his first IPL season and has represented CSK in two matches. During a recent training session, the South African brought along his son, who became the center of attraction during the training session. CSK posted highlights from Pretorius’ son’s visit to CSK training and captioned it as follows: “Simba Hanlu’s day! Super dad Dwaine and little cub bond in the nets! #WhistlePodu #Yellove”

In two matches, Pretorius took four wickets for CSK and also registered eight runs.

The defending champions are currently in poor form and are yet to win a single match in IPL 2022. In three matches, they have lost all matches.

In their previous game against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai lost by 54 points.

Chasing a target of 181 carries, CSK was knocked out for 126 in 18 overs. Half a century of Shivam Dube (57 on 30 balls) failed to propel the franchise to victory.

Initially, PBKS posted 180 for eight from 20 overs, with Liam Livingstone smashing 60 runs on 32 balls. The Englishman also took two wickets.

CSK is also helmed by a new skipper in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. He took over the role after MS Dhoni left his post ahead of IPL 2022.
